AGM
The 58th Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 17th September 2008 at 7pm. There will be some changes to the Committee. Peter Cross will be retiring after 10 years as Treasurer  but he will remain on the committee.  It is proposed that his position as treasurer will be taken by Tony Barton. Clare Barclay, who has been Chairman for 4 years will be standing down and the Committee have elected Hilary Battye to take her place. Myra Burgess has completed her second three year stint as a committee member and will be standing down at the AGM Peter Cross remains on the committee. Michael Fowler will become the Club’s Making Music representative and Pam Clarke will remain as Assistant Secretary. Other changes and additions to the committee will be posted after the meeting.

After a suitable break for a glass of wine the proceeding will resume at 8.15pmwith a recital by THOMAS LEATE violin ( Norfolk Young Musician of the Year 2005) and MARIKO NORTH piano – the programme will be;-

HAYDN DAY MARCH 1st 2009
To mark the 200th Anniversary of the death of Joseph Haydn  the Chilingirian and Sacconi Quartets will be performing a total of seven quartets in three concerts and local amateur quartets will be invited to play in the foyers in the intervals. There will also be talks and interviews throughout the day and on  the previous day Saturday 28th February the UEA Music Department will be running an associated day of workshops and tuition.
