Change of date for Ammiel Bushakevitz’s concert
A concert at the Chapel by Ammiel Bushakevitz was originally scheduled for Sunday 4th June 2017. This has now been changed to Sunday 18th June. The time of 6:30pm and the other details of the concert remain as they were.
Ticket prices for 2017/2018
The Committee is happy to announce that memberships and tickets for individual concerts will remain at their current prices for 2017/2018. The membership subscription itself will be £20.00. Ticket prices for individual concerts will be £20.00 for members, £25.00 for non-members and £1.00 for students under the age of 25. There will be a small increase in the price of a season ticket to £195.00 (including membership). Memberships and season tickets are not yet available but will go on sale in the summer.

A concert at the Chapel by Rafal Luc and Ian Anderson was originally scheduled for Sunday 25th June 2017. This has now been changed to Sunday 11th June. The time of 6:30pm and the other details of the concert remain as they were.
Review of Cedric Tiberghien weekend
On Saturday 11th March the pianist Cedric Tiberghien appeared at the John Innes Centre to play music by Chopin, Szymanowski and Debussy, and on the following day he was joined by wind soloists from the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for pieces by Mozart and Beethoven.

Changes in arrangements for ticket sales
Currently tickets for our individual concerts are sold by Prelude Records. They will stop selling these tickets on 15th March and thereafter tickets will be sold through the Theatre Royal in Norwich. There will be a dedicated telephone line: 01603 598595. Tickets will continue to be available online through our website.
Reviews of Carducci Quartet’s concert
The Carducci Quartet appeared at the John Innes Centre on Saturday 18th February, playing a new composition by Kemal Yusuf together with pieces by Haydn, Webern and Beethoven. The concert was favourably reviewed by Frank Cliff in the Eastern Daily Press on 22nd February.

Favourable review for Michael Collins and Michael McHale
Our annual Chamber Music Weekend took place on 21st and 22nd January 2017 under the title Michael Collins and Friends. In Sunday morning’s concert Michael Collins (clarinet) and Michael McHale (piano) played music by Brahms, Weber and Poulenc. Christopher Smith wrote a favourable review of the concert in the Eastern Daily Press on 23rd January. Commenting that “Michael Collins...and his accompanist, Michael McHale, performed two 19th-century classics and a modern work that showed all the character and versatility of the clarinet.”
New date for Chiaroscuro Quartet’s concert at the Chapel
The Chiaroscuro Quartet was originally going to appear at the Chapel on 5th January but this concert had to be postponed. It will now take place on Tuesday 2nd May (with a slightly different programme). For more details please see the Chapel Concerts page of our website.
Change to Chapel Concert on 5th January
The Chiaroscuro Quartet are no longer able to appear at the Chapel on Thursday 5th January. However, we are delighted to announce that the distinguished violinist Alina Ibragimova has agreed to take their place. She will be performing solo music by Bach and Ysaye. We hope to be able to reschedule the Chiaroscuro Quartet’s concert for a later date.
