The Club is keen to promote and encourage young people's interest in classical chamber music and help talented young musicians at the beginning of their careers.

For this purpose the Club has formed a Development Fund to which members are invited to contribute as well as local and national trusts.

On 1st October 2007 the Formosa Quartet gave performances at Avenue Road Middle School and the High School organised and funded by the Club.

In February there will be a more extended Junior Schools project, specifically aimed at schools in the Bowthorpe area of the city. The purpose is to give young children the experience of a live classical chamber music concert in concert hall conditions away from the school environment. The musicians concerned will be the Chroma Ensemble, a professional London based group led by Stuart King, a clarinettist with extensive educational experience. The project will take place from27th-29th February 2008 and the schools involved will be Larkman Community, West Earlham Community, Northfields, Recreation Road, Little Melton & Cringleford. The musicians will visit each of the schools to introduce themselves, their instruments and the music which they will play in the concert. The concert attended by about 300 children will take place at the John Innes Centre at 1.15pm on Friday 29th February.

This project is also organised and funded by the Club.

The Chapel concert programme is designed to provide a platform for young artists both locally and nationally.
