WELCOME to the 2006/2007 season of Chamber Music concerts. Following what, I hope you will agree, was a great season in 2005/6, we have another fantastic series of musicians lined up to bring you some wonderful programmes and I hope you will enjoy browsing through the web site.

Among this season's highlights are a welcome return of Stephen Isserlis to play all the cello works by Beethoven, Tasmin Little, the Takacs, Martinu and Jerusalem Quartets and a trio of Trio's; the Guarneri, Hermitage and a young Clarinet trio. Also the Haffner Wind Ensemble, Marc Andre Hamelin and Ashley Wass will all be playing for us We are fortunate that such great players are willing and indeed keen to come to Norwich.

We have been able to keep the price of membership the same as last year, but there is a slight increase in the price of season tickets. The number of season tickets sold will be capped at 200, and as there was huge demand last year, you would be well advised to buy yours early to be sure of having one! Tickets are available from Prelude Records and memberships are now due for renewal.

Some of these visiting performers will be staying on to give recitals at The Chapel, 64 Park Lane the day following their concerts and these are listed on the Chapel Events web page (see footnote). Entry costs are £8.00 per head and no tickets will be issued. Audience size is limited to 60 and if members wish to reserve a place they should either email Roger Rowe rrowe@paston.co.uk - or leave a telephone message on 01603 621169 and arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time.

The AGM will be at 7.00pm on Wednesday 13th September at the Chapel, and we look forward to seeing as many of our subscribing members there as possible. It will be followed by a recital by John Crockatt (violin), after the business is completed. John, the son of one of our members, is a final year Guildhall student and he very much impressed us when he played recently a the Chapel.
